From the kazoo orchesra of 3,500 at Glastonbury, oppening the Tour de France Opening Ceremony at Leeds Arena (see it all here), Hope and Social are a band who like to involve people in the things they do.

In June 2024, Rich Huxley (Farsley Springbank parent and Hope and Social member) came to Farsley Springbank to work with the students to write a song about their experiences of moving up through the years. A song about their hopes, challenges, feelings and excitement about moving on a year, or moving on from Farsley Springbank to their senior schools. Working with Rich the students came up with fantastic melodies and lyrics, and have created something really special.

The whole school from year 1 to year 6 perform on the track, which is a beautiful record of a time and a place, and of the experiences the children have had at Farsley Springbank. “We are Moving Up”, with full lyrics is available now for you to listen, download and treasure, HERE.
