March Tour Troubadouring

Folk is the new black

We’ve been a bit quiet on the blog front recently, though not because we’ve been slacking. As Si recently said to our mailing list subscribers, 2012 was supposed to be a “take it a bit easy” year… though that’s proving to very much not be the case. We’ve been planning… and, as some will already know, we’ve been making a new album. It’s an acoustic album, inspired by our Winter Warmer gig at Christmas (some lovely vids courtesy of Mike Watts here on Youtube if you want a catch-up), and it’ll have some old favourites on there, a couple of previously unreleased tracks, one of which is brand new. And we’ve kinda learnt the songs now too. Which is nice.

Cotton Wool and Knotted Wood

So, distilled from 5 days of recording which culminating in our Big Red Button Night (See Part 1 and Part 2 of Barnaby Aldrick‘s photo blog of the day), with friends, fans and family on choir duties, Cotton Wool and Knotted Wood will be released on the 30th March 2012 (keep your peepers peeled here later this week.

With a Nap-Sack On Our Backs

So off we trek again, marching on through some of our favourite towns. In other words, we’re doing a mini-tour, and we’re delighted to say that we’re going out with the awesome Joseph and David – – so we’re very much looking forward to it!

March 30th : Aces & Eights, London. TICKETS
March 31st : The Duchess, York TICKETS
April 1st: Holy Trinity Church, Leeds TICKETS

The venues should be gorgeous, so please do come play out and say hi. We are friendly chaps.

Summer Shenanigans

We’re also getting very excited about our summer shows, plenty of festival dates (some of which are listed on the website here), but much, much more of that later this week.

Stay well, come and play out, and speak later this week eh? Two rings when you get in luv… or I’ll be up all night worrying.
