Beer Cider Music Fun Food
A strong intro by anyone’s standards. Galtres Festival looks to be one of the highlights of the H&S gigging calendar this summer. We’re on at 6-30 on the Saturday 27th August, just before Chris Helme who is, in turn, just before headliners The Charlatans. So if you fancy joining us for a bit of this…
after a bit of this:
… then you know where you’ll find us.
… or “we scratch your back, you inadvertently scratch ours”.
Galtres Festival have also offered us the chance to help you get some discount to this ace festival by using a Hope and Social discount code. This also helps you to help us. Every ticket bought with this code goes towards paying the band whose discount code you’ve used… so when you buy tickets (here), don’t forget to enter HOPE&SOCIAL-303 to get your discount (up to £15) and know that you’ve helped us cover the fuel (and beer) costs for the show.
What else is there to do?
There’s a great music line-up including British Seapower, John Otway, Middleman, Eureka Machines and there’s sets and workshops from our ace mates Funky Junk too. There are over 100 different kinds of ale and cider, there are arts activities and there will be shenanigans. You can find out more on the Galtres Festival website, and if you want to fly the flag for the festival… here’s the poster in lo-res and suuuper high-res.
Here’s their official 2011 video:
