Global Enterprise Week Event – Lancaster University

MUSIC INDUSTRY PANEL EVENT: HAVE YOU GOT WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE IT IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS?
We’re very excited to be speaking at this Grow Creative event hosted
by Lancaster University and facilitated by Mushroom Concepts for the forthcoming Global Enterprise Week (followed by a performance at this gig) at 6.30pm, Storey Creative Industries Centre. I’ll be speaking about my favourite subjects; championing the cause and the methods of independence, social media (youtube, twitter, wordpress and beyond), the wonders of UnConvention, crowd-sourcing, DIY and the importance of connecting with your fans.

Gary McClarnan – owner of Sasha and Mr Scruff’s management company and Vice-President of the UK Music Managers Forum et al. fantactics.co.uk
Nian Brindle – Manager of “The Heartbreaks”, buzz band at this year’s In The City.
New ITC tag-line suggestion: “The godforsaken cesspit of false promises, cocaine and bullshit, billable against your band’s sales” ;)
Anna Esslemont – From Yukka Records – Vocalist, violinist and songwriter from Uiscedwr, the amazingly talented award winning, dynamic folk trio releasing music from their own label.

The event has sold-out in advance, however they’re looking at live-streaming to the next room along, as well as to Preston, and beyond. Please contact the event organisers requesting tickets for the streamed “next-door” event.
