The Big Brass Bash

The Brief:

Bring sonic joy to, and inspire a love of all things BRASS across the whole of County Durham.

The Solution:

In collaboration with the nation and the world’s finest street bands, traverse County Durham bringing original music, ballsy brass covers, and a whole load of smiles to the people. Music for the people.. in their neighbourhood.

As per usual we bit off somewhat more than was easily masticatable for our part, so in addition to pulling together a bespoke, brass-heavy set of H&S tunes interspersed with some NYBB faves, we also wrote a suite of songs inspired by and rooted in Durham; to be performed, and recorded at the Big BRASS Bash shows.

Through the wonders of Arts Council England and by way of the inclusively-thinking Durham County Council, we’re giving away the Hope and Social & New York Brass Band album, for your delectation.
