The nights are drawing in…
Yep, it’s gone. You missed it. Summer is over. The leaves are turning a lovely golden brown and the rain is driving against my window. Light the fire. Gaffer tape the holes in the window frames. Pass me my winter coat and put away my Speedos in the bottom drawer. Christmas is just around the corner… Hang on, what? It’s only 13th July? Are you kidding me? What? What kind of climate is this?
Oh well at least I’ve got these mind scrabblingly good Hope and Social shows to look forward to. Otherwise I could well be tempted to stick on the TV and let my mind digest itself in front of Live from Studio Five. Ian Wright. Not so bouncy now.

Don’t put the Speedos away! I’m thinking a photo of the members of Hope & Social, all in Speedos, maybe using the Blue Jackets and instruments to obscure anything the cold weather might make embarrassing…Or, for fan involvement,
we could vote on WHICH Hope & Social member we would like to see in a Speedo–could make a great Tshirt picture or gig flyer.

My my! Not sure our insurance covers us for that sort of thing!

Or we could just screen print the logo onto blue Speedos and take a picture of that. And use the Speedos in the cover art for the next album. And auction off both the Speedos and the picture. Maybe then the event of 4th/5th September won’t be quite so financially ruinous!
